It's nice to contemplate journeys metaphorically instead of having to pack, organize for life to go on while I'm away, and spend countless hours in airports and hotels. A baker's dozen years of that (not counting previous lives and travels), essentially nonstop, or at best/worst looming to happen at any time, is more than enough. But for the record -- and all of these are work or research related travels:

Countries where I've spent significant time (months to years):
Afghanistan
Iraq
Mauritania
Senegal
US

Countries where I've spent a week or more:
Belize
Cambodia
Czech Republic
Eritrea
Guinea
Guyana
Israel
Kazakhstan
Lebanon
Nigeria
Pakistan
Rwanda
South Africa
Tanzania
Thailand
Uganda
Zimbabwe

Countries where I've spent less than a week:
Azerbaijan
Canada
France
Germany
Ivory Coast
Jamaica (yes this was for work)
Jordan
Kenya
Mali
Portugal
Switzerland
West Bank
(I'm sure I'm forgetting some here)
